This copy was originally received by the Melbourne Observatory and held as part of the Observatory library. Reprinted from the Smithsonian Report for 1903 pp167-171 with plates. Major Baden-Powell was the brother of Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting movement and was formerly ADC and Military Secretary to the Governor of Queensland. He also served as President of the Royal Aeronautical Society from 1902 to 1909.
