Handbag - Cylindrical, Shoulder Strap, Black Leather, circa 1965 Object Reg. No: SH 942018

This handbag was made by an unknown manufacturer, although the donor has stated that it was most likely made in Melbourne. It was used by the donor for a number of years, and is featured in many press photographs of her.
Black leather cylindrical shoulder-strap bag with metallic zippered fasteneing across top and right side. Centre front is a metal rectangular shaped name plate facility. The shoulder strap is attached with metal rings to each side of bag and consists of leather shapes and chains attached to metal rings.
