- Truncheon used for disciplining patients in a mental health hospital in Victoria Australia circa 1910.
- Description:
- Length of black rubber hose re-inforced with canvas. Leather thong tied into a loop which is held around wrist. Part of hose near hand end is broken and rubber is cracked in various places. Appears to have been fashioned by the user out of a piece of hose.
