Summary:
Made by Godiva; prepared by J. Hinds (dentist), circa 1892 - 1950. Used in the dental clinic at Lakeside Mental Hospital, Ballarat, circa 1920. Dental wax is a mixture of waxes with additives, used in dentistry for casts, construction of denture bases, registering of jaw relations, and laboratory work. It would have been used as part of the regular dentistry regime at the psychiatric hospital.
Description:
Dental wax in 3 flat, circular cakes. Coloured pink. One of the cakes has a piece broken off the side.
