Badge - Women who Strive to be Equal With Men Lack Ambition, Australia, 1970s Object Reg. No: HT 779

Badge, made by Patrick Brothers, with the popular early 1970's Women's Movement slogan 'Women who Strive to be Equal with Men Lack Ambition'. The slogan infers that there is more to women's rights and equality than becoming equal to men. Some in the women's movement argued that a woman's uniqueness, rather than her similarity to men, should be acknowledged.
Round plastic coated badge. It has a white background with green text and green edging. A pin is attached to the back of the badge.
