- Marriage Certificate for Karina Zars and Aloizijs Nartiss, dated 25 May 1946. The certificate records that both were born in Latvia, Karina on 9 February 1925 and Aloizijs on 26 May 1924. Their occupations are recorded as a music student and draughtsman respectively.
In 1947 Karina and Aloizijs had a daughter, Liga. They migrated to Australia in 1949 after spending time in a displaced persons camp in Ludwigsburg in West Germany from 1948-49. In Australia Karina, who had trained as a dancer, worked as a photographic model and was featured on the last paper 10 Pound note, issued in 1956. - Description:
- Rectangular certificate on white paper, discoloured with age, printed, with typewritten additions. Two stamps on lower left corner stamped wit h town of Sillenbuck stamp. The same stamp, larger, on bottom centre of certificate.
