Table Runners - Crocheted, circa 1950s Reg. No: SH 000225
- Pair of crocheted table runners, part of the dowry of Irene Soumilas. Irene migrated to Australia from the Greek Island of Lefkas in 1958 to be married in 1959. Her dowry travelled in two trunks by ship, although she travelled by air. Many of her dowry items were made by local craftswomen, although other items were given to her by family and friends still living in Greece.
- Pair of two long white crocheted table runners, each with repeating pattern of a row of smaller circles then a row of larger circles.
