- Summary:
- Embroidered pillow case, part of the dowry of Irene Soumilas. Irene migrated to Australia from the Greek Island of Lefkas in 1958 to be married in 1959. Her dowry travelled in two trunks by ship, although she travelled by air. Many of her dowry items were made by local craftswomen, although other items were given to her by family and friends still living in Greece.
- Description:
- White pillow case with three embroidered pale pink flowers along one end of the case. There is a pale gold boarder and three sets of white cotton ties at one end of the case.
