Medicine Bottle - May & Baker, Thymol Bi-Iodide, circa 1900 Reg. No: SH 850275
- Made by May and Baker Ltd, circa 1848 - 1950. Used in the pharmacy of a Victorian mental health hospital. Thymol bi-iodide was used as an absorbant with mild antiseptic action.
- Small, green glass medicine bottle with ornate paper label - May & Baker, Thymol Bi-iodide, Cod. Fr. Has round, concave base, straight sides, rounded shoulder and fairly broad, fairly short neck, bulging outward slightly at top. Has cork, which is broken off at rim. Bottle is 1/4 full with yellowish powder. Bottle has join down sides.
