Wall Hanging designed and woven by Mrs. Lilija Duks-Stepe in Melbourne in 1989. Lilija continues to complete work in traditional method and rule to preserve Latvian heritage. The design is based on Latvian traditional design elements and rules, with the main element being the sun symbol, bearer of life. The other element is Austras tree, tree of light, or of the dawn, Austra, from which the sun rises in the morning.
