Summary:
Gelati box used by the Taranto company in 1962. Taranto's Ice Cream Company was founded by Angelo Taranto and his wife Ernesta in 1960 under the name of Taranto's Continental Gelati and Ice Cream Company Pty. Ltd, at 61-63 Ireland Street, West Melbourne and thenceforward operated as Taranto's Ice Cream Pty. Ltd. The company was sold in 2000 to McLardie and it is believed to have ceased operation in 2003.
Description:
White rectangular cardboard box, with bunches of tropical fruit on either side, in the middle is a penguin sitting in a silver bowl of three types of gelati, there is extensive text in blue, red, yellow and white. The sides of the box have blue rectangles on them with white text.
