Trunk - Metal, Painted, circa 1948 Reg. No: SH 990449
- Metal trunk used by Mr and Mrs W. E. Allan and their son David, who was aged six, when they immigrated to Australia from England on the Orient Line ship RMS Ormonde, departing London on 21 May 1948. They were sponsored by an 'Uncle Fred' and first settled in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne.
- Rectangular metal trunk painted brown with a hinged lid. There are two metal handles on either side of the trunk, and two claps and a lock on the front.
