Booklet - Passenger List, SS Iberia, P&O Lines, 1955 Document Reg. No: SH 990950

Booklet issued to passengers travelling on the P&O Line ship SS Iberia in 1955. It contains a passenger list for the voyage. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.

Many ships such as the SS Iberia carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers.
A5 sized booklet consisting of a thin cardboard cover and six doubled sided paper pages, and one singled sided loose leaf page. The front cover is decorated with a yellow, red, blue and white flag flying from a flag pole, around which is a banner printed with `P & O Passenger List'. The back cover is decorated with the same design minus the banner. Inside is printed a list of the passengers travelling on the P & O ship Iberia from 21 December 1955 for Australia. The loose leaf sheet is printed with late additions and cancellations to the passenger list.

Hello - I was on the SS Iberia 1955-1956 - with my mum and dad and big brother. Would love to see the list of passengers, with our names in it.

On the 14th April 1955 I arrived at Station Pier, Melbourne. we were Welsh migrants.Mam,Dad and my Brother David what a great voyage from Britain.She was a nice new ship only sailed once to Australia.I would love to hear from anyone on the trip.

We came here on the SS. Iberia in 1955 arriving Melbourne 17th January 1956 Mum amd Dad left family behind in Nth Ireland with their 6 children on their new adventure I was 8yrs old and still remember bits about the trip....mum is 95 yrs old and still alive...the family in Australia has grown to be around 80 of us now....

hi iwas on iberia in late 1955 docked in sydney at 8 years old whith mum dad and three brothers what an adventure best thing mum and ever did for us cheers jeff

I was a brs and crew projectionist on Iberia about 1963 a happy ship and many young people emigrating to a beautiful country.

My husband Peter and I sailed from Tilbury 8 Jan 63 to Adelaide 2 Feb 63. Wonderful trip. Had fun, excellent food, made great friends.

I sailed to Australia from tilbury with my Family on march 11th 1959 to Sydney 11th April 1959. Great adventure made great Friends who I have kept in touch with great
memories I was 13
years old @the time.

so, how we can get the list,my grandmum travelled on Iberia in dec 1955 from london to australia,she wish to know about some fellow passengers.
