Gala Dinner menu issued to passengers travelling on the P&O Line ship SS Iberia on 3 January 1956. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.
Many ships such as the SS Iberia carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers. - Description:
- A5 sized thin cardboard menu, consisting of four pages. Front cover is decorated with an image of two costumed figures, dressed as Pierot and Columbine, posing under an Arabic-styled marquee, from which is hung a banner `Gala Menu'. Inside is printed the menu for a dinner held on the P & O ship Iberia, on 3rd January, 1956. There is also space to collect autographs. The back cover is blank.
