Summary:
Black and white engravings and text from The Australian Sketcher, Saturday, 20 November 1880, pp. 315-16, published by Alfred May and Alfred Martin Ebsworth for Wilson & McKinnon, Melbourne. Page 315 contains of three columns of news, with small illustrations. Page 316 is a full page illustration of the New South Wales Court at the 1880-81 Melbourne International Exhibition with exhibits and visitors depicted.

As the Australasian Sketcher was published by Wilson & McKinnon, and, in 1889, absorbed into the firm's subsidiary paper, the Australasian, the contents of the latest addition was cross-advertised in the Argus. A listing in the Argus on Thursday, 18 November 1880, p. 4, provides details and captions of the contents of the latest edition of the Australasian Sketcher, that of Saturday, 20 November, that includes the illustration described above. Although this sheet has no date markings, it is clearly the same edition as advertised.
Description:
Black & white engravings and text from The Australian Sketcher. Page 315 contains of three columns of news, with small illustrations. Page 316 is a full page illustration of the New South Wales Court at the 1880-81 Melbourne International Exhibition with exhibits and visitors depicted. Exhibits visible include the obelisk representing the amount of silver mined in NSW, glass specimen cabinets and exhibits from the Department of Mines. The hall is decorated with palms, flags and bunting.
