- Two sepia stereographic prints mounted on card depicting the interior of the Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne, taken from the eastern nave looking west, circa 1888.
The heavy curtain installed at the entrance of the western nave in an attempt to improve the accoustics is clearly visible, as is the Grand Organ visible between the opening in the curtain. - Description:
- Two almost identical sepia stereographic prints mounted on thick grey card. Photographs show the interior of the Great Hall at Exhibition Building in the late 1880s, showing ceiling crossover, murals, banners and the curtain installed for the 1888 Melbourne International Centennial Exhibition in order to section of the western nave as a concert hall with improved accoustics.
