Label on front shows that the manufacturers, J Kitchen & Sons and Apollo Co, were awarded gold and silver medals at the 1875 Intercolonial Exhibition held in Melbourne and the 1876 Philadelphia Exhibition, and a gold medal at the 1880 Melbourne International Exhibition.
Description:
Paper box, blue-grey, to hold candles. Label pasted on, with text in black and depictions of the medals awarded at the Melbourne Intercolonial Exhibition (1875), the Centennial Exhibition held in Philadelphia (1876) and the Melbourne International Exhibition (1880).
