Baggage Label - Bergen Line, Issued to Donald Dott, 1954-1956 Reg. No: SH 990947
- Baggage label issued by the Bergan Line. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.
Many ships carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers.
- Rectangular single sheet luggage label printed green & black on white paper with a dye cut at 45' across two corners. The front image depicts a map of England on the left and continental Europe on the right, both in the background, while in the foreground there is an image of a ship. Accompanying these images is some white and black text. The reverse side of the luggage label contains black printed text on a white ground with two green stripes running through at a 45' angle.
