The inscription on the base of this plate-"11-52"- refers to the production date of the item. In this case-November 1952- and not circa 1930.Not sure if perhaps the pattern or design dated from 1930.

UPDATE:After checking,it seems "Duraline" production only commenced circa 1946 ;so it would seem this particular piece does date to 1952.

Might it be number 11 of a run of 52 pieces? I suggest this because I have a broken teacup of Loftus Moran hotelware that is similarly stamped, but in this case 1-40, which is clearly not a date.
