- Bottle of camphor liniment used in the pharmacy of a mental health hospital in Victoria, Australia, circa 1950. Made by Lawrence, Alfred & Company Ltd. Ark Brand. Ammoniated camphor and methylated spirit liniment was applied for fibrositis, neuralgia, and other conditions
- Description:
- Brown glass apothecary's bottle has concave, round base, straight sides, curved shoulder, short slim neck with protruding lid. Bottle is corded and sealed with brown paper bound with string (contents entire). Has manufacturer's label down one side, held in place by sheet of adhesive paper which has become semi-opaque with time.
