- Pair of maroon wool-lined lace-up boots used as an afterwork indoor slipper at Antarctic stations. Worn at some time between 1960 and 1993.
This is part of Museum Victoria's collection of artefacts from the post-war era of scientific exploration of Antarctica. - Description:
- These boots are maroon in colour and are made using heavy duty crepe for the soles. They are lined with lambswool and have a clip fastening. The leather has been very strongly stitched.
