Printed booklet containing recipes for dishes such as soups, puddings and biscuits. Publications such as this were sold by soldiers who were partially blinded during the war. The recipes used simple, cheap ingredients. This book was used by the Endacott family in Healesville, Victoria. - Description:
- Folded paper with colour illustrations. Cover features a black, white and green printed illustration of a digger resting under a tree appearing to be dreaming about a generous hot meal represented by a green 'thought bubble' that features a female serving a steaming dish to two smiling men. Pitched tents and a makeshift kitchen can be seen in the background along with a cook wearing all white and a chef's hat.
