- White paper wine bottle label, used at H.W.H Irvine's winery at Great Western, 1888-1918. The label depicts the Irvine crest.
Wine label is printed in red ink and reads: "Hans Irvine's Grand Old Invalid. Trade Mark. Brandy. Great Western, Victoria, Australia".
Irvine's Brandy was distilled from grapes not deemed suitable for other wines. Irvine marketed his brandy with an emphasis on its medicinal properties, and in particular its effectiveness in treating 'infirmity.' - Description:
- Wine bottle label printed with red ink and gold embossing on white background, gold crest c.c., elaborate scrolling and designs in gold throughout depicting vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
