Badge - Military Victory to Salvadoran Leftists, Australia, 1979-1986 Object Reg. No: SH 920533

Badge, alternatively known as a button, made by Patricks Badges. It shows its wearer's support of the Sandinista government of El Salvador (Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional) during a civil war between the Sandinistas and the United States-backed contras which ran from 1979-1990. This badge dates between 1979-1986, the period in which its donor was active in student politics.
This is a circular button of plastic on tin plate. The reverse has a safety pin slotted through the two holes in backing disc.
