Straitjacket with Webbed Trousers - Cream Canvas, circa 1900. Alternative Name(s): Straightjacket. Used to restrain patients in a mental health hospital in Victoria Austalia.
Straitjacket with webbed trousers (one piece) made from strong canvas. The sleeves are sewn into large pockets each side for the hands. A piece of canvas is sewn between the legs. Three straps with locks cross the back and four vertical straps with locks are also on the back.
