Dress - Cream with Red Stripe, Circa 1920. Worn by patients in mental health hospitals in Victoria. Australia. Possibly not completed and has locked fastenings at back. Possibly made at the hospital.
Dress made from thick calico material with broadly-spaced vertical red stripes. Dress is straight but very wide, has high waistband and darts for shape. Re-inforced round neck and has a 3/4 length unfastened opening down the centre back. Dress has long sleeves.
