- Summary:
- This jacket was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1972. it was worn by the donor to David Jones 'Supreme' award in 1972. There is a photo in the RMIT archives of her at this event. She wore it with a long flowing skirt, tied at waist with long ribbon, and with a fox fur draped over her shoulder.
Donor describes it as the"Lingerie look" (laces, transparent materials, loose flowing lines), which was popular in the 1970s. - Description:
- Cream coloured georgette top, collarless, laong-sleeved and open at the front. Trimmed with cream coloured lace at all edges. Five plastic pearl buttons at front opening, also at cuffs. Press-studs fasten cuffs.
