- Summary:
- This mini dress was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1969. The graphic design motif was inspired by french desinger Courrege.This example was originally worn by the donor, and was a favourite of hers.
It was worn by a model in the donor's 25th Anniversary Parade in 1988.
In 2005, it was used in a fashion parade at the Sydney Convention Centre to lauch the Australia Post Legends series that year, featuring six Australian fasthion designers, including Prue Acton. - Description:
- Bonded polyester knit A-line mini dress with black skirt and brown bodice. A bright pink inverted triangle is appliqued to the front bodice. Short black sleeves are bound in orange, and the round neckline is bound in pink The garment is fastened at the back with a zipper from neck to lower back. Masking tape marked "1969" inside neck (now removed)
