Summary:
Blue 'ruched' suede conical hat. Designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1985. It was worn by the donor with the 'Stained Glass' ensemble (SH 942116) to the 1985 Melbourne Cup. The theme was based on colour, inspired by stained-glass windows.

Prue Acton's Melbourne Cup clothing was specially designed for her to draw attention to Australian designers and in particular her forthcoming winter range.
