A bare hill is in the background, with a white wooden fence in the far distance. One man wears a felt hat; both men wear open waistcoats over their open-necked shirts. The photograph is mounted to a brown cardboard backing, with a deeper brown border around the photograph and the backing. Hand writing in ink identifies the photograph.
