- Summary:
- Pair of grey wool man's socks. The socks were made by Mrs G.E. Chapman in 1955. Mrs Chapman was a keen craftswoman who entered many pieces into shows. The Museum holds several of her certificates and other items of clothing from her show entries. In 1955 Mrs Chapman won second prize for her wool socks ('youth or man') at the 1955 Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show, South Australia - see SH 880043. These may be the socks for which she was awarded the prize.

- Pair of flecked grey wool man's socks. Fine knit, with careful turning at the heels. Ribbed at tops for elastic effect.
