This newspaper cutting, from the Daily Telegraph newspaper, contains a front page story about the death of Phar Lap, including a large photograph of Phar Lap and jockey racing. It is part of a group collected by the donor's father, Malcolm William Lucas (21/02/1898 - 31/10/1985).

One the front is an article about the death of Phar Lap, with a large black and white photograph of a horse and jockey racing along a track, with a crowd in the background. There is an advertisement for meats printed above. The Daily Telegraph newspaper masthead is printed along the top of the page.
