Newspaper Cutting - The Sun, Cardigan Reveals Truth about Phar Lap's Death, 22 May 1932 Reg. No: HT 7
- This newspaper cutting, from the Sunday Sun newspaper, contains the first part of an article about Phar Lap's death, particularly a theory about it by horse racing journalist `Cardigan'. It is part of a group collected by the donor's father, Malcolm William Lucas (21/02/1898 - 31/10/1985).
- A yellowed irregular shaped newspaper clipping with extensive black text printed on both sides. One the front is an article about the death of Phar Lap, with a black and white photograph of him and jockey Bill Elloit at Agua Caliente. Printed above this is a section of the Sunday Sun masthead.
