Other Details: Dr. John Chapman produced this bronze medal in 1988 to mark the bicentenary of the Charlotte medal. This medal was presented to the museum by Dr. Chapman and has been engraved MUSEUM OF VICTORIA. The medal incorporates a reproduction the 1788 'Charlotte' medal from the Chapman Collection, featuring a depiction of the Charlotte at anchor in Botany Bay and a written account of key points of the ship's journey from London. - Description:
- A bronze medal which incorporates a replica of the 1788 'Charlotte' medal from the Chapman Collection; this features a depiction of the Charlotte at anchor in Botany Bay and a written account of key points of the ship's journey from London. The medal was supplied in a black box but this (and the white silk ribbon in it) have caused the medal to tone.
