Envelope in which an invitation to attend a Smoke Night at the Melbourne Town Hall on 14 May 1901 was enclosed. The invitation, from HM Ministers of State, was to Members of the Press. The Smoke Night was one of many events planned to celebrate the Opening of the First Parliament of Australia on 9 May 1901.
