- Radio transcript dated Tuesday, 5th of September, 1939. It was received on the ship which was returning Lili and Letho Sigalas from North America to Australia in 1939. It has been issued by the Associated Press and Mackay Radio, and refers to the outbreak of the Second World War.
Lili Sigalas (nee Vrahamis), born in 1904, migrated to Australia in 1922 to marry Letho Sigalas. The couple were married at the Greek Orthodox Church on Victoria Parade, Melbourne in 1923. They had two daughters Danae in June 1924 and Magarita Babette in 1931. - Description:
