Accommodation Plan - P&O Line, SS Strathnaver, 1954 Reg. No: HT 2674
- Unfolded single-sided accommodation plan for P&O lines ship SS Strathnaver. There are colour plans of the ship with black and white photographs of the interior. The plans show B deck with promenade and children's playground, deck C with promenade space, pantry and cabins, deck D with promenade space, hospital and cabins, deck E with dancing space and cabins, deck F with dining room, and decks G and H with further accommodation.
The RMS, later SS, Strathnaver was a Royal Mail Ship and Ocean Liner launched in 1931 by P&O, with accommodation for 500 first class and 670 tourist class passengers. She first sailed the London, Bombay, Colombo, Melbourne and Sydney route before being requisitioned as a troopship in 1939. Following the War she returned to service in 1950 on the London to Australia route. In 1954 was refitted to carry 1,252 single class passengers, shown in these plans. Her last voyage to Australia was in December 1961 and in 1962 she was sold for scrap.
