Summary:
Model of a Burchardt's Reinette apple. The Burchardt's Reinette apple is harvested in winter and used in dessert cooking. This variety of apple is not in the 1974 edition of Ikin's listing of fruits.

This model is based on a specimen presented by John Harbison of Essendon in 1875. The model was made by museum artists Thomas McMillan in 1875 for display at the 1876 Centennial International Exhibition, Philadelphia.
