- Summary:
- The 'Stanvac Australia' (17,297 GRT) was built by John Brown & Co. at Clydebank, Scotland in 1954-55 for the Standard-Vacuum Transportation Co. Ltd. It was launched on 24 May 1955. This ship was the first tanker to carry crude oil for the Altona refinery in Melbourne. In 1963 it was renamed 'Esso Australia' and renamed again in 1975 as 'Petrola 22' and was scrapped in 1978.
