Mantel clock, round clock on white alabaster base, made in France, circa 1850.
Clock is supported on a white alabaster base with scrolls at base of dial. Round white card face with black roman numerals mounted in a broad gold coloured tin rim.

Spring driven; collet escapement.

i have a mantel clock with the winder in the ceter of the hands, you have to pull a brass knob out, this turns into handle to wind the clock. works are stamped VV patent 3628 AD 1885. No 1024. 5-8
