Lamp clock, Germany, circa 1800.

Glass bowl on pewter stem above circular base. Oil drains to wick in horizontal spout. Thin pewter strip over glass calibrated 7 to 12, 1 to 6. The shape of the glass is designed to give a constant flow of oil by compensating for changes of depth.
