Honda CBX 1000 Super Sport
Summary:
The CBX 1000 held in Museum Victoria's collection is the 22nd (Frame no. 2000022 & Engine no. 2000011) example of 42 pre-production machines built in Japan in 1977. It was the only pre-production machine bought to Australia and was used for display and publicity purposes before commercial release in 1978. It was donated to the Museum by Honda Australia Pty Ltd in 1983. Two pre-production CBX 1000 motorcycles exist in Canada and two more are in Norway.
