- Horse brass: Commemorative, Mayflower in full sail. Crescent border with crenate edge. Marked "16 mayflower 20" at bottom. Type: cast brass. Date: 1920.
This horse brass was probably created to commemorate the tercentenary of the 1620 voyage.
"The Mayflower was the famous ship that transported the English Separatists, better known as the Pilgrims, from Southampton, England, to Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620." (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayflower) - Description:
