I'm a soldier of the British Army, I have found a Bible that belonged to a WW1 Bristish Soldier. His name is in the Bible and this bible is still in very good condition for its age. I would like to know more about when this bible was actually printed and also find the soldier whom this belonged to. This is a very extraordenary book and this pictures inside are nicely done. This book was printed at Oxford University Press. Please help me, no the book is not for sale just want to find history so that I could frame the book with full description. Thanks

Museum Victoria Comment
Hello - That sounds like a very beautiful and significant object. As you are in the UK, I would recommend that you start with a search on your National Archive's military/Find a Person page:
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/default.htm

If you contact Oxford University Press, they may be able to help you with publication details of your specific Bible.
All the best!
