Clock movement, Junghans, Germany, 1956.
Brass movement mounted on plastic base. Balance wheel attached to magnet above fixed magnet. The force of repulsion between the magnets helps suspend the balance wheel and reduce friction. The striking mechanism consists of three rods which vibrate when struck. A membrane in the base amplifies the gong.

Spring wound; lever escapement.
