Pocket Watch - Roux, circa 1790 Object Reg. No: ST 024748

Ladies pocket watch, gold hunter case, Roux, Paris, No. 717, circa 1790.
Gold case has ornate bezel set with stones. White enamel dial has roman numerals and is marked 'London'". Back surface is engine turned and has blue enamel circle.

Pump action wound spring; lever escapement. Fusee and chain. The pump action of the pendant button winds the striking. Strikes on case.

To open movement the pendant button must be raised.
