Shearing Handpiece - Wolseley, No. 3 Hardened, circa 1910 Object Reg. No: ST 030686

Wolseley No.3 mechanical shearing handpiece, manufactured in Birmingham, England, about 1910. It has a tension spring marked "SAF" for Small Arms Factory. There is a felt cover over the hand section, and a newer leather guard which was added as overheating was a problem.
Metal handpiece with brown felt cover over hand section and leather guard protecting gears at end.
