Apple Model - Esopus Spitzenburg, Hazelglen, Victoria, 1875 Reg. No: ST 004962
- This model was based on a specimen grown and presented by Charles Draper of Hazelglen in 1875. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan in 1875 for display at the 1876 Centennial International Exhibition, Philadelphia. The model was recoloured by Miss M. J. McMillan in March1917.
Synonyms: Esopus Spitzenberg, Spitzenberg, Esopus. This variety is a dessert apple and is harvested in winter.
