This is an electric Sunbeam, aluminium egg cooker manufactured by Sunbeam Corporation Pty. Ltd. in Sydney, Australia after 1955.

The small, round egg cooker was used to poach or boil eggs. There is a motor in a solid base, and attachments for boiling five eggs or poaching three are placed in a trough in the upper part of the base which is filled with water when the eggs are to be cooked. The cooker lid is then fitted over the eggs. Attached to the top of the lid is a removable water measure; the quantity of water determining how well cooked the eggs.
Description:
Small round electric egg cooker, made of aluminium. Can either poach or boil eggs. Solid base contains electric motor. Attachments for boiling five eggs or poaching three are placed in a trough in the upper part of the base which is filled with water when the eggs are to be cooked. The cooker lid is then fitted over the eggs.

BASE UNIT: cylindrical on four small feet. Two HANDLES - on upper edge, opposite each other, both moulded with product name and company. Plug socket under one handle. Switch in black frame lower edge, between handles. Underside engraved with product information.

INTERIOR: Boiling attachment: flat disk with 5 large egg shape holes and 10 smaller holes to allow water to boil through. Poaching attachment: 3 shaped triangular wells in circular dish, on 3 feet. A black handle with an arm and ridged spherical top at centre of attachment. Moulded company name on underside.

LID: ridged dome with two slits on opposite sides. Attached to top of dome a plastic water measure. Underneath dome a small spike for piercing the shell of eggs.
