I have been fortunately given a S. Smith & Sons Ltd Type 30a 8-day Motor Clock. How old is it and into which cars was it fitted? Please

[Explicit] , again. According to our curators, your 30A clock would date to a similar time as ours, circa 1930. It is possible that a better date can be found from the precise inscriptions on the clock, particularly on the movement. We do not have the information regarding which models of car it was commonly used with. Hope this helps!

These clocks were not fitted by the car maker but were an accessory that could be fitted by the car owner.
Very often fitted to Austin Sevens and Morris Minors in the late 1920's and early 1930s.
